Welcome to Pelican News

This new edition of the Daily Bulletin provides news and information for and about the Loomis Chaffee community. The Pelican News is emailed to all students, faculty, and staff members and posted on all website portals at 8 a.m. each weekday morning. A special weekend edition is distributed every Friday at 4 p.m.

The Pelican News includes:

  • The Master Calendar for the day and link to more events
  • The Athletics Calendar for the day and link to more games
  • General Announcements
  • Athletics Announcements
  • Photo of the Day (usually by a student)
  • Quotation of the Day (Send your favorites, but be sure and attribute them)
  • Links to Weekly Menu, Pelican News archives, and department announcements

We welcome news from the LC community and provide a link for sending news. We hope you will like our new format and welcome any suggestions.

Course Changes

The final day to change a fall term course is Thursday, September 17. Level changes in a specific course will be allowed until Tuesday, October 20.
Study Hall Assignments

Study Hall hours will be posted on Friday, September 18 and will begin on Monday, September 21 for all freshmen and new sophomores.
