The Loomis Chaffee Class of 2010 soaked in sage advice, hearty congratulations, and the bittersweet realization that their high school years had come to a close on Friday as they celebrated their Commencement with proud family, friends, trustees, faculty, and staff. 
“Peace of Mind Guaranteed (POMG)”, is the catchy name the bicycle tour business of Richard First ’86 – POMG Bike Tours of Vermont. And, the phrase and initials have a deeper meaning, too – they are based on the motto of the Hartford jewelry store founded by his grandfather Bill Savitt. 
Former Secretary of State and Loomis Chaffee alumnus George P. Shultz '38 was recently featured in a three-part PBS documentary, which recounts the political career of Mr. Shultz and delves into the inner workings of the Reagan White House.

For Cody Rosen ’08, June 26 started out like any other Saturday in the summer. The Clarkson University hockey player, who recently completed his freshman year, was sitting around the house watching World Cup soccer on television. However, what happened next was an unexpected surprise for the young goaltender from Ontario, Canada. 
During a talk given during Reunion Weekend, Bob Kaiser ’60, associate editor and senior correspondent at The Washington Post, mused on how much the world has changed since he and his classmates left Loomis 50 years ago.
